Boardroom or sideline, Hayden’s job is the same: make the data earn its keep. As co-founder and director of Christchurch-based consultancy Parallel42, he has spent more than 25 years turning complex, messy information into insight that businesses can act on – leading the design and delivery of modern data platforms and analytics for clients across manufacturing, utilities, professional services, sport, and the not-for-profit sector, including the Crusaders, with whom he’s co-presenting at this year’s Tech Summit.

His career spans New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom, delivering large-scale data warehouses and business intelligence solutions across platforms including Microsoft, Snowflake, and Tableau. Increasingly, his focus is turning to bespoke AI solutions that connect large language models directly to enterprise data, so organisations can interrogate and act on it in entirely new ways.
